A hilarious memorial has been erected at the site of the viral fight where a drunk golfer was thrown into a pond

The Old Course, Augusta National, Lahinch, Oakmont, Pebble Beach. All golf holy sites that golfers across the world dream of visiting—links pilgrimages where the water hazards turn to wine and the bunkers are filled with memories not sand. The fight, which erupted over slow play, created a social media groundswell after it was discovered that the man shouting “Bang! Bang! Bang!” while punching the other in the face was none other than former NHL enforcer Nick Tarnasky. The Internet sounded its viral trumpets. The video was retweeted. Podcasts were recorded. Investigations were launched. Most importantly, however, a few intrepid golfers ventured to Alberta Springs Golf Course to erect a memorial for the fabled soldiers. Behold.

Crudely scrawled into a scorecard, “R.I.P.,” the tribute read. “F—ing cry about it. Bang, Bang, Bang.” Brings a tear to the eye, doesn’t it?
As shown in this video shared to Golf Reddit, local golfers from all around Alberta came to pay their respects to the adversaries who fought and fell there, disappearing beneath the waves. What has become of sh*tfaced David and Canadian Goliath? Only the golf gods can say, but whatever their fates, we humble pilgrims would be wise to heed them.
