Trump Rips ‘Scammers’ Omar, Walz Over Mounting Fraud Findings In MN

President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform on Saturday to lodge new criticisms and accusations of fraud against Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) and Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, claiming that the real amounts of theft that his administration has discovered so far is much more than what’s been publicly disclosed.

In his post, Trump also suggested – again – that Omar should be deported back to her native Somalia.

“The Theft and Fraud in Minnesota is far greater than the 19 Billion Dollars originally projected. The Biden Administration knew this FRAUD was happening, and did absolutely nothing about it. ‘Scammer’ Illhan Omar and her absolutely terrible friends from Somalia should all be in jail right now or, far worse, send them back to Somalia. ‘Governor’ Waltz is either the most CORRUPT government official in history, or the most INCOMPETENT. Even a very low IQ person, of which there are many, should have known what was going on in Minnesota!!!” he wrote.

Trump also called for the prosecution of Democratic Omar on Friday, saying she should be jailed in connection with a widespread fraud scandal in Minnesota, where state and federal authorities have uncovered alleged abuses of federal and state benefit programs.

Trump made the remarks during an interview in which he discussed the ongoing investigations into fraudulent use of public assistance funds in Minnesota, including programs related to food, healthcare and other social services. The president characterized the situation as one of the largest fraud schemes in U.S. history and said Omar, as a prominent lawmaker from the state, should face legal consequences.

“This is a scandal like nobody’s ever seen before,” Trump said. “People should go to jail, including Omar, in my opinion.” He did not provide specifics tying Omar directly to criminal charges but framed his comments in the context of broader concerns about corruption and enforcement in the state.

Federal prosecutors and state officials have charged dozens of individuals in connection with the fraud cases, which involve alleged misuse of federal nutrition programs and other benefits. So far, no charges have been publicly filed against Omar, and her office has not announced any legal actions or investigations naming her as a target.

Omar, who represents Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, has previously denied any wrongdoing in relation to the fraud investigations and has characterized the controversy as politically motivated. Her spokesperson did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Trump two weeks ago accused Walz and Omar of using protests against federal immigration enforcement to divert attention from fraud cases in Minnesota, making the claims in a series of social media posts.

Trump said protests opposing Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in the Twin Cities were being encouraged by Democratic leaders to distract from what he described as extensive fraud involving state-administered programs.

“ICE is removing some of the most violent criminals in the World from our Country, and bring them back home, where they belong. Why is Minnesota fighting this? Do they really want murderers and drug dealers to be ensconced in their community? The thugs that are protesting include many highly paid professional agitators and anarchists. Is this really what Minnesota wants?” Trump wrote.

He added: “The crooked Governor and ‘Congresswoman’ Omar, who married her brother, don’t mind because it keeps the focus of attention off the 18 Billion Dollar, Plus, FRAUD, that has taken place in the State! Don’t worry, we’re on it!”

In a separate post, the president wrote: “There is 19 Billion Dollars in Minnesota Somalia Fraud. Fake ‘Congresswoman’ Illhan Omar, a constant complainer who hates the USA, knows everything there is to know. She should be in jail, or even a worse punishment, sent back to Somalia, considered one of the absolutely worst countries in the World. She could help to MAKE SOMALIA GREAT AGAIN!”
