Here at Golf Digest, we don’t usually condone making fun of other golfers’ swings. Different strokes for different folks, after all. But when that golfer is four-time NBA champion and world-famous superstar LeBron James, we’re willing to make an exception.
James has never been big golfer, even as the sport has became the NBA’s pastime du jour. But with his career winding down, he’s started picking up the sticks more and more. Last week, James posted several work-in-progress swing videos to social media, and the NBA’s resident golf sicko, Steph Curry, was quick to welcome him to the fold.

If King James thought he was going to tiptoe into the clubhouse without a little hazing, however, he was very wrong. At the American Century Championship on Thursday, Curry hosted a little game of “guess the swing,” imitating a stiff move with a one-handed follow-through. When a fan shouted “LeBron!,” the NBA’s all-time leading three-point shooter responded with a fist pump and gifted the fan a water bottle. Check it out.

James’ sense of humor about himself has always been a bit of a question mark, but we’re sure he won’t lose too much sleep over this. Curry was just having a little fun at tournament designed for exactly that. And who knows. With some hard work and an extra range session (or 200), perhaps James will get his revenge at next year’s ACC.
