Watch Grace Kim’s tap-in eagle on the 72nd hole to get into a playoff at the Evian Championship

All eyes were on World No. 1 amateur Lottie Woad and World No. professional 2 Jeeno Thitikul late Sunday during the final round of the Amundi Evian Championship. Then Grace Kim jumped up and hit the shot of the championship late at Evian Resort in France.
Woad shot seven-under 64 to take the clubhouse lead, but there were several groups out on the golf course, namely Thitikul, who would become No. 1 in the world with a victory. Thitikul then birdied the 17th hole and seemingly only needed to make par on the par-5 home hole until Grace Kim hit a second shot from 188 yards to kick-in range.
Watch the approach and putt here:
There was still plenty of drama. Thitikul had an eight footer for birdie to win outright but missed. Kim’s eagle then put her into a playoff with Thitikul with both looking for their first major titles.
The playoff provided even more drama when Kim chipped in for birdie after hitting her second shot into a hazard. She then returned to the 18th hole a third time and made eagle to win. Yes, eagle, birdie, eagle to win her first major championship.
