WASHINGTON D.C. — The scandal surrounding former President Joe Biden’s alleged excessive use of an “autopen” has just exploded into a massive political firestorm. A top official in the Trump administration went on national television to claim that they have identified the powerful Democrat who secretly “controlled” the White House device to mass-produce the President’s signature.
The accused? Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren.
THE ELIZABETH WARREN ALLEGATION
During a fiery appearance on Fox News’ Jesse Watters Primetime, David Sacks—President Donald Trump’s newly appointed AI and crypto advisor—dropped the bombshell allegation. Sacks stated that he believes his ongoing investigation will reveal that Senator Warren was responsible for applying Biden’s artificial signature to numerous executive orders.
“Elizabeth Warren controlled the autopen during that administration,” Sacks declared.
Sacks argued that Warren’s motive was driven by her “pathological hatred of the crypto community,” utilizing the autopen to push through aggressive regulations in a desperate attempt to “drive this community offshore.”
While Sacks did not immediately provide the underlying evidence linking Warren to the physical operation of the device, his allegations highlight the administration’s aggressive pivot toward cryptocurrency. Just last Friday, President Trump hosted a lavish dinner at Mar-a-Lago for high-net-worth investors backing his new crypto token, signaling a total reversal of the previous administration’s policies.
THE PARDONS AND TRUMP’S FURY
Traditionally, the presidential autopen is reserved strictly for low-level, non-urgent documents like ceremonial resolutions or proclamations. But according to Republicans, the Biden White House weaponized the machine for incredibly consequential actions.
Among Biden’s final acts in office were highly controversial pardons granted to members of the January 6 select committee, including former Congresswoman Liz Cheney. President Trump is now actively challenging the validity of these pardons, arguing they were signed mechanically and likely without Biden’s cognitive awareness.
During a Friday speech at the Department of Justice, Trump ripped into his predecessor.
-
“He didn’t know about it and he, generally speaking, signed it with autopen, so how would he know that autopen is a big deal.”
-
“Number one – it’s disrespectful to the office. Number two – maybe it’s not even valid because who’s getting him to sign? He had no idea what the hell he was doing.”
THE OVERSIGHT PROJECT & LOOMING SUBPOENAS
The sheer scale of the autopen usage was first brought to light by the Oversight Project, a division of the conservative Heritage Foundation. The watchdog group claims to have gathered thousands of documents from the Biden presidency, alleging that almost all of them featured identical, mechanically reproduced signatures—except for the letter announcing he was dropping out of the 2024 race.
Their chilling conclusion went viral on X: “WHOEVER CONTROLLED THE AUTOPEN CONTROLLED THE PRESIDENCY.”
Now, Congress is stepping in. House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) announced he has sent formal requests for testimony to dozens of former Biden staffers and confidants. He issued a stark ultimatum:
“If we don’t hear anything from them in a week, then I would expect to start seeing subpoenas.”
THE DOJ INVESTIGATION
The Department of Justice is also actively hunting for answers. Ed Martin, the incoming pardon attorney and head of the DOJ’s Weaponization Working Group, confirmed that a federal investigation into the questionable use of the autopen for Biden’s pardons is fully underway.
Martin revealed that:
-
The probe has been active for some time.
-
Members of the Biden family have been contacted.
-
Several individuals of interest have already retained legal counsel.
-
A whistleblower has officially come forward with serious allegations.
With the DOJ, congressional investigators, and the White House all closing in, the true operator of the autopen may soon be forced out of the shadows.
