MINNEAPOLIS, MN — President Donald Trump has effectively issued a verbal “deportation notice” to Representative Ilhan Omar, taking to Truth Social on Saturday to demand that the Minnesota Democrat be jailed or sent back to Somalia in connection with a spiraling financial scandal.
In a blistering attack that has sent shockwaves through Washington and St. Paul, Trump linked Omar and Governor Tim Walz to a massive fraud scheme that he claims far exceeds previous estimates. The President alleges that the theft of taxpayer funds in Minnesota has ballooned beyond $19 billion, accusing the state’s leadership of either gross incompetence or criminal complicity.
“SEND THEM BACK TO SOMALIA”
Trump did not hold back, branding the Congresswoman a “scammer” and explicitly calling for her removal from the United States.
“The Theft and Fraud in Minnesota is far greater than the 19 Billion Dollars originally projected,” Trump wrote. “‘Scammer’ Illhan Omar and her absolutely terrible friends from Somalia should all be in jail right now or, far worse, send them back to Somalia.”
He continued with a stinging rebuke of her patriotism: “Fake ‘Congresswoman’ Illhan Omar, a constant complainer who hates the USA, knows everything there is to know… She could help to MAKE SOMALIA GREAT AGAIN!”
WALZ: “CORRUPT OR INCOMPETENT”
The President also trained his fire on Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, whose administration has been plagued by investigations into the misuse of federal food and healthcare funds. Trump ridiculed Walz’s management of the state, suggesting the Governor was fully aware of the massive theft occurring under his watch.
“‘Governor’ Waltz is either the most CORRUPT government official in history, or the most INCOMPETENT,” Trump declared. “Even a very low IQ person, of which there are many, should have known what was going on in Minnesota!!!”
A “SMOKESCREEN” FOR FRAUD
Trump’s comments come amidst his broader theory that the recent anti-ICE protests in the Twin Cities are being orchestrated to distract the public from the financial crimes. He accused Walz and Omar of encouraging “thugs” and “anarchists” to riot against federal law enforcement as a diversionary tactic.
“The crooked Governor and ‘Congresswoman’ Omar… don’t mind because it keeps the focus of attention off the 18 Billion Dollar, Plus, FRAUD,” Trump argued.
While Omar has not been formally charged, federal prosecutors have already indicted dozens of individuals in connection with the fraud, which involves the looting of federal nutrition programs. Trump characterized the situation as “a scandal like nobody’s ever seen before,” insisting that “People should go to jail, including Omar, in my opinion.”
As federal agents continue to dig into the books in Minnesota, Trump’s message is clear: The “scammers” have been put on notice.
